Got backed into in parking lot

I just turned left to go down a parking lot aisle and a woman started to back out, I quickly stopped but she kept backing until impact. I could not back out of the way as I knew there had been a van behind me. I was at a complete stop for about 2 seconds until impact. A bunch of scuff on the bumper cover. Unfortunately we both have the same insurance so my guess is it will be a 50/50 fault which sucks since I stopped to avoid it.

I would have laid-on-the-horn; and: screamed like
a wild Banshee to get the other driver's attention.

Hope the damage to the vehicles wasn't too severe.
Glad that it appears that no one was injured.

usually same insurance just means no deductible needed, they will still decide if one was at fault and repair the other vehicle as applicable.

Unfortunately that doesn't always work. It happened to me once and I would have driven right on over the curb to avoid it had there not been a fire hydrant there.

Same insurance is a great thing. It expedites everything.
I just got rear ended in my way to work in Chicago. My poor little Diesel Passat got hammered from behind. The guy had paper plates and crummy insurance that ended up not being insurance because he stopped paying.
On the bright side the VW has little visible damage, my insurance covered it. Second it showed the difference in build quality in the cars. This guys little Mazda looked like it hit a F150 not a little VW. I'm just happy I was riding alone and not hurt.

Good luck with the repair and it's a good thing you have the same insurance.

I found that it was beat for me that the guy who rear ended me did NOT have insurance

I paid no deductible and was able to keep a loaner car much longer than my policy would have allowed if the guy had insurance

I am with USAA. Great company. I get a rebate check every year that they pay out less than they take in

Here in Wisconsin we have roundabouts and besides know the basics of driving you also have to pay attention to people who don't know how to drive in them. I had some guy the other day driving a mini van with his full family inside split his lane and my lane into one lane and drive like it was perfectly fine until I laid on my horn and he jerked back into his lane.

The person backing up is at fault. They hit youand you didn't do anything wrong.
