So I tried drying off my car after its wash this morning with my new Adam's Great White Drying Towel. I can't really find anything online on how to properly use the towel. With my Cobra microfiber drying towels, I use them dry and they soak everything up really well. This is my first waffle weave, are you supposed to wet the towel before using it? It did an ok job at drying the car at best. Took several passes to pick up all the water and this is after blowing most of it off with a blower.

To get the best performance you should pre dampen them also by doing so the towel will be much more gentle on your paintwork too

Do you just soak it in water then ring it out?

You could soak it, and ring it out or just run it under water then ring it out

Maybe ask on Adam's forum?

Some people also like to spray a QD or a no-rinse product when drying. It keeps the towel gentle on your paint, and it helps prevent pesky water spots.

For drying towels. I usually start with the glass first so it a little damp before putting it on paint.

It may need to be wash again if it is not really picking up water.

Although Hybrid V07 isn't marketed as a stand alone QD, have you heard or seen anyone use V07 to pre-dampen a drying towel?

You could pre dampen with hybrid v7 all your doing is applying v7 in a sealant format as you wipe, blot, or pat the water up though hybrid v7 will get expensive therefore try looking into ONR or Ultima waterless wash

I try to avoid using spray waxes or gloss enhancing sprays with my drying towels to keep them as uncontaminated as possible since I wash my drying towels with my glass cleaning towels.

I put a few sprays of Adam's detail spray on the towel and it drys perfectly.

Is this really a thread on how to use a towel?

It would appear to be so..let him ask his questions. If you have nothing move on.

Oh, I have something....if the towel won't absorb water it's not good - garbage. You shouldn't have to do anything to it to make it work.

That is the most honest answer in this thread.
