I'm not sure i've ever read about why long throw polishers, like the Rupes are superior to traditional ones like my PC. Can any one explain what "long throw" means and why it's better. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

There's quite a bit that goes into it. Kevin Brown at Buff Daddy first introduced me the Rupes a couple years ago, and his site has the best description of the Rupes along with why the 21 mm throw is so beneficial. There's no way I could give his site justice in a little post so check it out for yourself, it's a great and informative read.
