I have been doing a few cars now here and there on weekends and one of my neighbors stopped by to inquire about what all I was doing. Well the conversation led to him not knowing what to get his wife for their anniversary and well I had to recommend that he get "her" car detailed. He was sold and brought it over a couple days later.

She took good care of the vehicle, washed regularly and the inside does not look the 5 years old that the vehicle is. However being washed frequently at the local car wash the car was beginning to show its wear and tear.

This is how the HHR looked when it was dropped of. You can see from even this distance the level of swirling.

The sun was out perfectly to show off the severity of the swirls.

I don't have any process pictures due to a time constraint so I will write down the process and products used.
I started with Megs Hot Wheels on the rubber and rims, rinsed, then applied AMMO Plum to remove any remaining iron.
Once the wheels were done the whole car was washed with Chemical Guys Mr. Pink using the two bucket method.
The car was dried with microfibers and then clayed with Pinnacle clay and clay lube. The clay really wasn't all that bad other than a few rough spots.
After the car was clayed I began my test spot. I started with Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and an Orange LC CCS pad with my GG 6" Random Orbital but it really didn't touch the deeper swirls. I moved up to Wolfgang Uber Compound on the Orange LC CCS pad and that annihilated the swirls and scratches!

After Compounding the whole car I went back over with Wolfgang Total Swirl remover and then Wolfgang finishing glaze both with LC CCS White Pads. I wiped the whole car down with CarPro Eraser.

Now that the car is nice and swirl free I applied a nice coat of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant with a blue LC CCS pad on the GG 6".

The rims received a light coat of the DGPS by hand and the rubber was treated with AMMO Mud.

Right before delivery the car was wiped down with Chemical Guys Hybrid V07.

Not to sound egotistical but I kinda impressed myself with how the car turned out which prompted me to post this Show N' Shine.

Enough of my talk, enjoy the after shots.

Yes, yes it is. On my radar for a pre-winter paint correction and wax. Poor thing needs a whole lot of work!

Fantastic job, no surprise, I am a fan of red these days and your results remind of of a perfect red Ferrari. Ugly duckling to swan transformation, well done!
