Gidday all,

i recently was giving some menzerna SF4000 finishing polish for free and i'm looking for a good compound. I was personally thinking of going with PG1000 but i'm also looking for feedback on the SI1500. i live up in canada and am usually working on DD's and let me tell you, canada takes a toll on the trucks/cars. I don't have a specific vehicle i'll be working on as they are all diff brands like chev/ford/toyota etc. I will also be using Powerlock for the lsp

my tool is griots 6" Da.. The newest generation..

any tips would be gratefull.

i'm looking to achieve about 75% or more correction.

thank you,

Ryan

FG400 is the compound you should pair with SF4000 IMO.

FG400 has good cut and finishes down very nicely. It is easy to work with, too.

Merzerna fg400, and sf4000 has always worked out for me, and with the right paintwork, pad, and speed fg400 can be used as a one step as for the pg1000, and si1500 they could also work, thought remember don't try to make the paintwork super perfect just make it "perfect" that way it's enough "skin" clear coat for more perfection later on

Yep, FG400 to start. Has excellent gloss (better than SI1500) and tons of cut. If you want something for the middle area I'd say get 1000 and 2000.

I have 1500, but tend to like 400, 1000, 2000 & 4000 as they have all the bases covered and where one has more cut / less gloss, the other will have less cut / more gloss. They really play well of each other when you compare them on the Menzerna chart. :)

I have not tried the 4500 what do you like better about it compared to the 4000? I may need to get some.

Thanks

I have FG400, PF2500, and SF4500. These 3 have covered all the bases for me so far as a weekend warrior.
