Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. I probably came into this site like a lot of people. Bought a new to me car that was nicer than any previous that I'd had. I wanted to keep it nice, so I took it through the local gas station car wash pretty often. About 9 months later I saw it in the sun and realized how terrible it had gotten to looking! Swirls everywhere!

I did a little online research on how to care for a car, stumbled onto Auto Geek, and the rest is history. I never knew there was such a wealth of knowledge out there!

I have learned so much from the Auto Geek website, and especially from everyone on this forum. Thanks for all the knowledge you guys (and gals) have made available.

I live in Missouri in the St. Louis Metro area. I have a Crystal Black Silica (Metallic Black) 2010 Subaru Legacy GT, and my wife drives a Blue 2003 Chevy Suburban. This means that I have one car with very soft paint, and one with pretty hard paint. Her Suburban is terribly swirled, and I've been correcting it one panel as a time, as time allows. It's been quite the learning experience, and I look forward to learning even more!

Thanks guys! I'm out in O'Fallon, MO. Mike, whereabouts are you in Germany? My sister is currently stationed at Rammstein with the USAF. We're hoping to get over there this fall.

Oh right on! I'm at Spangdahlem. 75 miles north of Ramstein. Remember there are no speed limits here.

Most of it anyway
