Hey everyone, I always like to play around with photshop and image editing, recently ive been toying with HDR images.

Real HDR images are done by taking high quality photos with a tripod and taking multiple shots at differnet exposure settings, then using software to combine the images and get some cool effects.

These were done by modifying images that I already had, but some turned out nice. Everyone let me know what you think.

I have linked to the original image underneith each photo so you can see the difference the editing made.

Pretty neat look. The "bike" shot could be a poster.

I'm also a bit of a shutterbug (all digital and like playing with photoshop). May I ask what software, title and version you're using for the HDR? Does the newest PS have this built in?

thanks guys

the software is called Photomatix Pro, it is really a very simple program, after a little while of fooling with the settings you will get the hang of it.

In the link I posted above to the gto forum, it was explained to me and a good link was given explaining how its done. Again, you are suppose to take the pictures at different exposures, I justed made a few different versions of the pics, brighter and darker ones.

If anyone here has a pic they would like me to fool around with, feel free to PM it to me

Nice pics, but I'm still unsure exactly what the pictures are doing as far as effect is concerned. Can you not just use PhotoShop and apply various effects to it to attain the same results?

I guess its suppose to give the pics that surreal/dreamy look. If u havent looked at the pics in those links I posted you should, alot of them are way better examples then my pics.

Maybe if you you really knew your away around photoshop you could re-create these results, but Im not nearly that nice haha. Im sure a pro could do some way cooler things, but I thought these worked out OK.

Keep the replies comming guys

That's cool, I have to agree that yellow BMW looks wicked :righton: just the contrast and all looks incredable.

Really neat what you can do though...I think that last BMW you posted with the garage full of goodies looks kinda odd though...I don't know if it's just me, the colours just don't seem right? Again it could be just me :D

Very nice pictures though, thank you for sharing.
