I have been collecting knives occasionally for about 1/2 of my life now, I got my very first real knife when I was around 9- 10 years old, it was a 6" fixed blade Buck nighthawk. I still have it today. And i still think its a great knife. Ever since then i have been picking up knives here and there. My collection of the top of my head is something like this:

Buck nighthawk
Gerber LMF II ASEK
a Colt collectors knife
I have a lot more but these are the major ones.

Soon I plan on getting a knife from Coldsteel I am thinking about the Recon 1 plain tanto point, I hate serrated as they are a b!tch to sharpen. Are there any other knife guys out there?

Thats funny you say that, knifes are every where, i the kitchen for example, I could just get a knife from there if I wanted:rolleyes:....its not that big of a deal....plus the ones in the kitchen are a lot bigger.......I hate when people are like OMG a knife....aaaahhhhhh...... a little kid with a knife:rolleyes:. Its not that big of a deal;), if learned to be used correctly, its a useful tool. I always carry at least my little red swiss knife with me. Im the MANA rule I always follow, is, keep a knife and a flashlight with you at all times...

And im sure any 9 year old kid can get ahold of the parents car keys pretty easily too. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should.....

True....but its better to learn at a young age how to use a knife and a gun, so that later on in life they dont do the"oh looky a gun, hehehhahah..bang...ooppss..." I guess it might be hard to understand, each family is different, in some familys a knife at 9 is crazy, in others, like mine its not.;) I was a pretty responsible little guy back then.....times have changed:p

Not really a collector but I own many knives, worth more to me for sentimental reasons than $ values. I've been carrying a pocket knife since I was 5 years old. "Back in the day..." almost every boy in my class at school carried one, we never really even thought of them as "weapons" but as tools, often a teacher asked me if they could borrow my knife...

I'm currently carrying a Buck single locking blade pocket knife...

I have my grandfather's old 3 blade buck, several Case brand knives that I've been given on various occasions, a former USSR military pocket knife my sister brought back from a student exchange program, and lots of cheapos that mean something to only me.

I have a collection of swords. I only get them out when my neighbors complain about the noise from my rotary early in the morning. ;)
