I am going to detail my Uncles truck for him but I'm not sure what do do with the large factory graphics on it. I am not a pro detailer but I use some of the pro products and machines. I have a Rupes 21 with the stock and 5" plates, if I'm polishing with this should I tape the graphics? I also plan to use JetSeal on his truck should I just JetSeal the graphics also?Feed back please

Thanks Jim

My likely those graphics are vinyl therefore I would tape them off, and carry out the rest of detail, as normal

Yes tape them up. If you want you can polish around by hand first. 3m makes a vinyl tape. That will make it easier to tape it out. I think the make 1/8 th inch then you can tape with your regular tape inside the graphics to give you more room.
Depending on how complicated of a masking job it is. I just will polish by hand.

Are they vinyl? Are the paint? Are they above or under the clear coat? Not sure? Just tape them off.

they are tape, so I assume vinyl. so tape off for polishing but do I jetseal them? would it give them some protection?

If you don't know if they are painted or vinyl then leave them be
If there painted(under the clear coat) jetseal them if there above the paint(siting on top) then you could put a trim dressing on them

they are tape above the clear.

That sounds like vinyl stripes
