This was a fast one, so few process pics. We took delivery on this one Friday evening. I went ahead and tried to get as much exterior prep work as I could finished. The heat here has been an issue, so the next morning I knew we needed to be in really early to get finished before the main heat of the day hit.
This customer is selling this vehicle, so the main points were clean and shiny, fix some chips, and also interior stains. So not a full inclusive detail, but one that would get them what they needed.
I started with the wheels as usual and used a combination of Sonax Full effect, P21S Total Auto Wash and also Iron Out.
Then onto the exterior. I foamed the vehicle with AF Snow Foam, then took AF Citrus power and worked around to the rubber and intricate areas, inside the gas cap and such.
Finally two bucket wash method with CG Citrus Wash. Dried and clayed.
That was all for the first day.
Next morning, we were back in bright and early. I am taking my son in now with me on details. He saw the inside and was very happy, the vehicle had leather and this kid loves to condition leather.
He vacuumed the inside and I grabbed the steamer and went over certain areas. Like I said, this was not a full interior, more of a stain removal in key areas and a good once over, plus leather cleaning. Everything was finished up on the inside, so we moved onto the exterior. The night before, I had started at the hood. I wanted to use Megs D151 Paint reconditioning cream over this vehicle to get the gloss and protection all in one. The hood however had some swirling that I felt I should take a little more time to address. I grabbed the Rupes 15 with Megs Cutting disc and some M205 and used the Kevin Brown method to pull out the swirls. Then I went over that with the D151 and voila! The results I wanted for that show panel. We also had some touch up to do all over the vehicle. The owner had brought the T/U paint with them, so I carefully made my way around the vehicle working with dabbing the areas I saw that needed.
All in all the vehicle turned out really nice. The owner was pleased. Now they can sale the vehicle and get top dollar for it.
