Hi all,

Looks like no matter how careful I am I always get wax or sealant on my trim on a 2011 Honda CRV and it dries on.

The sealant is Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant. What is your preferred method of removing it?

Thanks for any help,

Ed

Did you try something like CarPro Eraser? If you dont have, try an APC at 1:20 strength with a soft bristled brush. You may need to go to 1:10 dilution. Always try least aggressive 1st.

I found found something that really works but Meg's Final Inspection claims to do this. I am planning to buy it shortly.

Diluted APC on a MF towel... I don't know if it works that well but so far, it's working for me.

Thanks for the reply. The only thing I have tried so far is the Griots dried wax remover.

Do you have a favorite APC? The mcguires is backordered.

Thanks for the help.

Car soap or apc with small brush to agitate the trim, and microfiber towel thought look into non staining wax/sealant

The Mother's Trim restorer is a really good plastic trim cleaner. Follow that up with the 1Z Deep Plastic Cleaner. Tape off your trim before applying if you can't trust yourself to be more careful.

Yep. After I get it clean I plan to tape it off and it is also why I am switching to Ultima Paint Guard Plus.
