Any reason I shouldn't apply BFWD over CQuartz?

Is it overkill. Will I just waste the effect of CQuartz?

Thanks

:welcome: ...to AGO!

Just curious:
How did you first find out there was a Coating that goes by the name of CQuartz? TIA.

Should have bought a Canon!

..Yes, you can apply BFWD over a CQ.. just give it a few days to cure i guess.

I don't see the benefit of putting a sealant over a coating. A coating is already like a sealant on steroids. Waste of time and money in my opinion.

Figure more protection is better

^^ then why Reload for CQUK? It's a sealant.

I don't think it hurts to top it

Reload is not a sealant, it's a spray coating.

And it does hurt, in that your coating will take on the attributes of the LSP you put on it - won't be as hydrophobic, easy to clean, etc.

Reload is not a sealant, it's a spray coating.

From CarPro-US' product description:
"Reload is the most cost effective inorganic spray sealant on the market..."

You can argue this point with Corey, if you so desire.

I agree with a Coating taking on the "actual last-step-product's" attributes---even though/if it is more hydrophobic, just as easy (or easier) to clean, etc...or not, as the case may be.

Yes, I do use Reload but looking at other options (just because).

Just want to test other things out. I know CQuartz can last up to two years so trying to top it off a variety of things

It may indeed last up to two years.
But how would you know this to be true if you:
"top it off with a variety of things"?

Just saying.

I know. Thats why I asked. It probably is overkill

Just out of curiosity:
Are you going to practice "topping" of this Coating...
or any other LSP, for that matter?

Right now just Reload. Just wanted to see other options out there

Good Luck with your choice of this Sealant, as your vehicle's LSP.
