I know from years of experience that paste wax will leave white marks on some rubber and plastic.

How do you finish modern car doors? I have a 2013 and 2014, and the jams and/or window pillars (interior) have tapered, or narrow, or irregular widths, and 1 or 2 rubber seals. Sorry for my confusing description, but one look at the bottom of a door (or interior window pillars) should clarify things. Anyhow, how do you not get material on either the rubber or plastic, or doesn't it matter if it's sealants or polishing compounds? Some areas are as small as the width of my finger!

Thanks!

I really like Chemical Guys V7 for this kind of thing...

Chemical Guys V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant Detailer (http://www.autogeek.net/chemical-guys-hybrid-v7-spray-sealant.html)

Have you considered a good spray wax, like Optimum Car Wax? It works well for me.

On only the most basic wash we'll use DG901 or Megs156. But for everything else we use either WG or BF WOWA sealant(s). Best thing since sliced bread! :D

Just clean the area with APC and treat the seals with 1Z Gummi

So from the suggestions I assume that the sprays do not leave white marks on the seals. I briefly thought of taping the seals, till I saw how many edges there are!

I guess the real answer is not to use paste wax, but to use a spray, either wax or sealant, or maybe 1Z Gummi.

Looks like I have another product category to add to the wish list for my next order!

Thanks!

I like to use either Pinnacle Black label coatings or (majorly) the Black Label Coating Booster.

Lasts a long time, gives a slick feel, shiny look, and makes everything easier to clean further in the long run.

Kind Regards.

Spray wax or Collinite 845 will both work and leave long term protection.....Neither will stain...
