I washed the Jag today. Pulled it into the garage part way to dress the tires, clean the windows, spray with Quik Shine.

Then on to some yard work. I asked the Teenage boy to go to the front of he house and clean up the grass clippings from my edging. Instead, he went to the back drive way, swept up the drive way a little and walked back into the house and pressed the button to close the garage door. I head it closing and ran to the back screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Too late. The door came down and scraped off a a huge scratch on the back of my car.

I'll post a picture later. I can't bear to look at it right know. I thought I'd drink a Guiness and write this post since my wife doesn't understand my pain.

AARGGGGGGGGHHH!

I did that too on my NSX, but the garage hit the spoiler felt the resistance and went back up. No damage.

:( sorry about the mishap. I'd be in pain too. I made a nice scratch on the bumper of my car with the garage door, but it's not in perfect condition and I didn't dread over it, and it's old. I do take care of her still. Now, if the car was in perfect condition, that would be a different story...

bill - did you get her info? dent is a dent, she just wants to avoid paying for it. Hopefully you have her info and take some action.

I know that pain all to well. In March my truck was broken into...door had to be repainted and blended.

Then 2 months ago I shut the garage door on my F250, took me 2 hours to buff out that mark. then 2 weeks later, I did it again. (I only have 2.5 inches of clearance to get in)

Just last week, we were pulling our brand new 5th wheel and I was backing into our camp site...on the blind side of the truck I heard cruch....backed into the site marker pole. A cool 1500.00 to fix that.

Argh

I have some pictures of my scratch removal. Hope yours is as easy as this was.

Here is the scratch, about 14 inches long in the middle

I feel your pain, I just got my back bumper tonight.......a few minutes ago to be exact! No damage though.......thought I pulled in far enough but guess I didn't! Reddwarf, turn the "downforce" down on your garage door opener so it's more sensitive and will go up easier when it "bumps" something.
