Window, door stains from acid q?

Guys I am just very upset right now. Someone vandalized my 1 year old 2013 RAV4. It seems like some kinda acidic was thrown on the driver side rear passenger windows, door panel, gas door and also on the rear wheel and stained these body parts.

At first, I thought that the stains came from parking under a tree where I park but after washing the car, they would not come off. I applied DP high performance glass restorer with a sponge but it could not remove any of it. For the body, I used Megs D151 with a mf but that did not help. As for the rear wheel, the stains were on the lug nuts as you can see in the pic.

My first option was to I was to try and buy a Griots 6" and using Ceriglass for the windows and then clay and polish the door panels but I'm afraid that I cannot get this done since the drip marks that the acid have made is either coming from the bottom rubber moulding, door's side moulding and gas door using the DA polisher.

Second option is of course let my insurance take car of it and you all know how that goes.

Any advice and also which parts that I can use to fix these problems would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'd take it to a body shop & go through insurance instead of tackling it myself. What if you make it worse?

Sorry to hear I would make a claim. Is that your supra I had an 88 with the same wing I love those cars other then I blew the head gasket a few times. I will rebuild one some day

I am guessing that the "drips" are unrelated to the larger damage on the other panels.

Actually, I did not notice anywhere dripping in any part of the car before this whole thing happened and besides, the dripping is only on this side.

Robbiek, yeah, that's my supras. An '89 and '90 both turbos. Can't wait to sell them to a good home.

I understand you are concerned about your car--but are you sure it was acid? Glass is pretty acid resistant, except to hydrofluoric acid, and it would be pretty unusual for someone to be driving around flinging wheel cleaner onto other people's cars.

I'm just suggesting maybe you should take a breath and this isn't maybe as bad as you think.

Setec, I also read about the resistance of car glass when it comes to acid but what could a normal household bleach do this kind of damage?

Man, I park my car in a public garage next to my pt job last year and my rear quarter panel got dinged up not to mention that one day when I approached only to find someone had spit on it.

Honestly, those lug nut stains don't look like they are from someone vandalizing the car.

I've not seen those stains before and I clean the car wheels once every 7-10 days with CG Diablo & speed master wheel brush, clean the tires with TUF Shine then dry them both using a lawn blower.

Yesterday, I tried using some megs wheel cleaner to get rid of those stains but would not come off. What do you think those stains are?

Are you talking about the drops on the lug nuts or the damage in the lug nut hole? The stuff in the hole could be rub marks from the impact socket at the dealer/tire place.

Have you tried any solvent on the marks on the window? IPA, mineral spirits, Tarminator?

The drops on the lug nuts are more of like a calcium build-up and definitely not scratches when putting on/off the lug nuts.

What dilution would you use for the IPA? Thanks.

To me they look like hard water run offs that were left. You will find water that may run out of all those areas on the paint.

The glass could be the same thing.

Hmmm. Im not saying that those could not be hard water stains that have run off but how come it's only on one side. There are also splatter stains that I did not take the picture that is spread out on the same window that rolls down.
