Props to you guys that do this day in and day out!

The last three days have been none stop doing show finishes on a Harley Fatboy and Harley Electra (had 2k sand marks) and today did a one step, engine, and interior on my sisters Acur TSX.

I am beat and still have my Fathers Edge one step and cleaning up some RIDS with interior, a battered boat, and my car.

I don't know how you guys do it, especially those that do full corrections on a regular basis. If any one scoffs at the prices, they need to detail a couple days and will understand the pricing.

How do you polish the cars without shade? I can barely polish my car with a pop-up canopy!

Finally I got a detailig bay but I still love doing mobile. Sunshine state. I love my job. Staying fit is key and well hydrated.

I did it for years right in the driveway with no canopy or garage or shade. Start early and drink lots of water. It gets easier every day if you have the passion. And workout a lot. Trust me a 2 hour cross fit session will kill you, detailing will too, it just takes a lot longer. Thats why I tell people to keep moving up in the industry. You dont want to clean cars forever.

I use two 10x15 canopies side by side most of the time.

It hard work but I won't do anything else for a living and when the customer sees the car it's worth all the hard work. It takes a lot of time and effort to build a detailing business and make good money. If you look at Joes work it's excellent work and stands above 95% of other Detailers. There are a select few in this business that truly stand out. I'm taking my business in a new direction and mainly focusing on exterior work. I'm very lucky after 3 years of full time I've built a very successful business.

I wished every potential customer could see this. I also was full time mobile over ten years ago and I also loved every minute of it. I had a canopy that I would put up, we did mostly washes, and in the summer in the south, it is hot. We bought Teva sandals and big brimmed hats and we washed like crazy. Had a great client base that trusted me and kept me really busy.

The end results were worth both my dad and sis were extremely happy. I have never done multiple details in consecutive days. It has always been a car here and there.

You guys are lucky indeed! Polishing cars is all I can think about... I usually take care of my neighbor's cars, girlfriend's truck, and Mom's Ion. I have a lot of people requesting my services, but I just don't have the time. Sad thing is that I'd probably make more money detailing, than working at the car wash.

Winter would probably be a problem, as I wouldn't have a building, or garage access, and Michigan winters can be brutal! I may end up trying to work for an established shop or something.

I would love to do this every day but currently in school. I usually pack 2-3 cars wanting full details in a weekend (Friday morning-Sunday night) and it's definitely non stop! I love doing it though so it keeps me going.

Those pics are amazing!

Thank you. I've been blessed.

To much is given much is expected.

I am going to step things up a little bit and invite new up and coming detailers to join me!!
