I'm looking forward to following this restoration:

BMW restoring Elvis-owned 1957 507 roadster (http://ranwhenparked.net/2014/07/24/bmw-restoring-elvis-owned-1957-507-roadster/)

Mike (formerly known as Smack) how long are you going to be in Germany again? The 507 would be so cool to see in person before and after the restoration.

I'm looking forward to seeing it as well! Keep us updated on the progress of this car.

I will be here until September '17. I have thought about extending for another few years as well.

Here is another article on this displayed on the Bimmerpost home page. The car will be displayed until the 10th of August for viewing. I guess I better hurry up and get down there to see it in its original state!

Amazing story about that old classic.

Mike - perhaps you can detail it after it's restored? :)

Oh man, you have to get there stat! Have you been to Munich yet? Cool city.

Gotta love the yellow rope tied the convertible top frame for pulling the top up or down and the bungee cord keeping the trunk down. The BMW restoration experts have their work cut out for them...

The 507 is a "quiet" classic, forgotten because of cars like the Gullwing and E-type, looking forward to seeing this one when its all done!

I have not traveled to Munich. The closest I have traveled is Stuttgart. Hopefully I can make it down there and see the original state of this car.
