View Full Version : OPP+ vs. DP IP vs. CG NS: Results

Finally got around to starting this. Im planning on keeping track of each dressing to compare durability too.

This test is comparing Optimum Protectant Plus (OPP+), DP Interior Protectant (DP IP), and Chemical Guys Natural Shine Pleasant Matt Shine Dressing (CG NS). All of the surfaces were cleaned with DP total interior cleaner first. The same amount of dressing was used, applied with the same TYPE of applicator, but NOT the same side. After application, all dressings were buffed with a separate side of the MF.

OPP+
This stuff doesnt smell too good from the bottle IMO. But I CANT smell it once applied. Even with my nose on the surface. It comes in the form of a white liquid that is very thin.

DP IP
This is the best smelling dressing out of the three, smells like banana's. It leaves a VERY matte finish. You cant see it in the picture, and I cant see it in person. I believe it also has mild cleaners. It has suds when applied, OPP+ and CG NS do not.

CG NS
This also doesnt smell very good from the bottle. And I CAN smell it once applied, but I have to put my nose up to it. IMO, it smells the worst out of the three dressings. It also comes in the form of a white liquid that is a lot thicker then OPP+.

Its between CG and OPP+. I think its going to come down to which one lasts the longest.

I wish I could have gotten PB NL in on this, but I couldnt get a sample from anyone.

I wish I could have gotten PB NL in on this, but I couldnt get a sample from anyone.

I have 303, forgot to include it though, damn.

I have all the products in question including 303 and PB NL. CG and PB NL are my favorites.

303 is too shiny for me even though Im sure it protects better than all the other stuff.
