Hey everyone,

I saw this stuff on clearance at my local AA store for half price with only 2 bottles left, so I was intrigued so a quick internet search revealed the threads on here about it and how highly regarded it was. So I purchased the last two in the area. I read through the threads in here started by Klasse_Act I think and made a gallon of QD out of one bottle.

My question is what would be the ratio to make a Waterless Wash? I'm assuming half a bottle to 1 gallon based on the ONR ratios I read in the threads here but it was never specifically mentioned. With my method below I believe I'm using 2X the product I need to and that is just wasteful IMO, not to mention it took me 2.5 16 bottles of spray to soak the whole car. is that a lot?

What I do is heavily presoak the panel with Ratio of 1 bottle to 1 gallon (ratio for QD) and then use a microfiber mitt in a bucket of clean water with grit guard. I rinse the microfiber and keep it wet then spray a couple shots of my solution on the mitt and gently wipe the presoaked panel, seemed to work great.

So my questions for you that know are:

1. I have no concept of how far a waterless wash should go, is 2.5 bottles on my car too much? I really presoak the crap out of it, but I wanted to be on the safe side.

2. What would be the proper dillution for a waterless wash the way I'm doing it?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, I love this place and am glad to be a member. Here was my car right after doing my above technique, turned out nice:

I know this is your first posting...So :welcome:...
But I don't think we can start threads about non-AGO-carried products. I could be wrong though.

Thanks for the welcome, sorry if I broke rules, but this forum is where I learned about the TW Rinseless so I'm confused?

Here are the 2 threads that convinced me to buy it:

I did start the thread about TW rinseless wash, true enough but it "seems" some products get a pass while others don't. The only thing I can think of is maybe TW owns a company for something actually sold here on AG, just a thought.

As far as making a waterless, well, I don't know about that but if your on a "clearance rack kick" you might wanna check your local Target for ECO TOUCH products, they're marked down 50% and sometimes NOT found in the automotive section, some find it there while guys like myself have found it in homegoods. They (ECO TOUCH) make a great waterless wash, along with other great products which I've tried almost all of them, great sucess and safe to use! Once ECO TOUCH is gone from Target and you can't find it in the stores, its available here from AG as well!

Hey Klasse, thanks! Yeah the color is hard to show in a photo, at least taken with my cell phone, it is different deep reds at different times.

So I know you said you don't know, but do you have a guess that if I diluted say 1/2 bottle to a gallon that would be close to a WW consistency? I just feel like using the detail spray ratio you gave is wasting the stuff don't you? BTW, do you still use the Turtle Wax RW?

I just finished up my last bottle and I can't find it anywhere. That said I would try a half bottle and see how it goes, that doesn't sound like a bad ratio. When your done with TW and can't find it anywhere may I suggest Duragloss rinseless, its the best I've ever used and I've tried about 6 different ones in 2.5 yrs of being here. Ordering from DG directly will also save on shipping if your not placing a large order with AG. You can make QD and clay lube and I guess you actually could make a waterless wash as well with it, I need to drop DG an email about this.

Great I will try that ratio and see. Also you can get TW from Walmart, which I hate to go to but you can. You just have to order online and pick up in store. I just remember from your posts you loved this stuff just wondering if you still wanted to use it. You can also order directly from TW it looks like on their website. Is it one of those products that if you can get it locally you would but not good enough to order online, or ? Just curious?

I still like it but buying DG by the gallon is more cost effective and is a better product AND you use 1 oz of DG rinseless whereas w/ TW its 4 oz. That said, TW has/had a great product there, they need to properly market this to the people IMO!

Please be supportive of AGO, who is nice enough to provide us with this Forum.

Any talk of ordering from other sellers is best discussed via PM if at all

We all want a deal, just be respectful of the AGO Forum

Again sorry if I seemed like I was doing that, I should have PM'd Klasse but I didn't know him so I thought it would be best in an open forum. This may not matter but I buy all kinds of products, so just b/c I mention one product doesn't mean I am not purchasing other things, I just think it is helpful to be able to have an open forum is all.

Mention all you want

Lots of products that are not available thru AGO are openly discussed on the Forum.

My only point is that directing people to purchase AGO available products thru other online retailers should be discouraged.

OTC, in my opinion is a different discussion.

To be clear; I have zero problem with TW or discussing its positives.

I understand, I was actually just answering a questions, Klasse said "I can't find it anywhere" and so I tried to help, should have been a PM I guess, and for the record, I hate buying from Walmart vs. smaller company either locally or online but in this case you almost have to.

Have you tried the Ultima Waterless Wash Plus? I'm wondering how it compares. I've been happy with it but my only other real comparison besides the OTS brands is the ONR diluted for QD purposes.

TW is an OTC product.
