Try a solution of warm water and Dawn detergent. You may find that you'll need to scrub the area lightly with a brush to help remove the stain. I've also used an all purpose cleaner with great success.
Apply solution
Scrub
Rinse
Shop van the area

Steam / Apc of your choice / will do the job
In a mftowell aply some apc 5:1 is a good dillution. then work together with the steam gun, and your mft
do a couple of passes, that should do it

Hard to say without a pic and knowing what the stain's makeup is? For most stains, I have had great success with CG Leather Cleaner and a vent brush. I have a leather brush too, which is much stiffer, but I don't use that unless I have to.
Make sure and finish with a damp MF to remove any cleaner residue, then apply a protectant.
