I have a few small chips where I would like to fill in with one of those paint pen type deals. I am wondering if the griots garage orbital is strong enough to polish out some wet sanding marks after the repair.

Thanks

Sure is. What pads/compounds do you have and what grit sand paper are you gonna use?

Even a parter cable can handle small jbs like that

Well I already have the polisher, was more of a question as to if it could tackle the job. Coarsest pads I have at the moment are my orange lake county ccs pads.

That may work, never tried that but I will say that I've knocked out 3000 grit with Meguiar's microfiber cutting disc and M105 with no problem at all.

Might want to invest in a microfiber cutting pad. The orange CCS might not get it all.

SURE it will! ;)
Take that orange pad and D300, 101 or 105, or perhaps 151 (depends on what grit paper you use), and anything from Menz 1500, 1000 and down to 400. All will remove sanding marks all day long with that orange pad. (Even Menz 2000 and Megs 205 will remove sanding marks if they are fine enough, aka 3000 grit and shallow enough, AND with the right pad.)

Use 3000 grit and you can polish out the sanding marks with white pad and PF2500 or orange pad with M105. If you use M105 you will want to finish with M205. PF2500 finishes down pretty nice on its own.
