I am going to do some work that will require removal of 2000 grit sanding marks and I need a wool cutting pad. I am probably going to have to hit up my local 3M supply house for a wool pad, but I wanted to ask about the wool pad/bonnet AG sells. Has anyone used it alone to try and remove severe paint blemishes? Will a wool pad do the same type of work on a PC as a wool pad on a rotary buffer does? I tried a small section of the area that needs to be sanded with a yellow pad and PB's SSR3 today. No dice. It bring up the panel nicely, but it left a ton of the faint sanding marks behind and it just won't do. I also ran out of my Menzerna compound for my rotary and need to reorder, but I have a wool bonnet/pad for my PC and some SSR3 left..................??????

Save that kind of work for the rotary it's a little over the head of a PC. Meguiar's recommends not even using a serious cutting pad on the PC. I would agree with this.
