I took the plunge. I traded the black accord for a silver one. Now I won't have to be so anal cause I probably won't see anything. I think the red katzkin leather will look just as good in the silver. It has a stupid pinstripe I have to remove. I hate pinstripes

Wait a minnit--you traded your car in simply because the color was too much work?? I'm not sure if that makes you a true Autogeek or the opposite, lol!

That's funny. Now I'll have more time to read the forum

Just do it at work like everybody else does!

One day I will have this option. Congrats on the new ride. I myself am torn between colors as well the lighter colors are so easy to make look good, but when black is done right:drool:

I'd say for some people silver metallic is the best color.

If you try to inspect the paint in full sun the light reflecting off the metallic flake will act like a mirror and BLIND YOU.

And thus you'll quickly close your eyes and turn your head. Try it ONCE and I'm vindicated.

I just bought a new car about 5 weeks ago... I decided to go with silver too (last one was white), but I contemplated black...

I know black would have driven me insane, but I was checking them out anyways cause they look sooooo good when clean. What pushed me over the edge was the wife said she'd kill me if I bought a black car (I'm in the garage enough with the two light colors I have now):nomore:

I respect those that can maintain their black paint and still get some sleep at night.

Congrats on the new ride!:dblthumb2:

Same to you. I kept my black accord pretty clean. But I got tired of wiping it down almost everyday
