Okay, as a newbie detailer, I'm generally confused. I've repaired a lot of minor scratches using Ultimate Compound, both by hand and now with my PC. I know you can wet sand scratches and use clearcoat pens, as well as a compound to fix scratches. However, when do you know which method to use? They all seem to work pretty well at removing scratches. I read somewhere here that wet sanding removes less paint that compounding deep scratches, but how deep is "deep" really? I have a couple of deep scratches on my hood that you can feel, but can't get a fingernail really in them. Feed back please
