This vehicle is my father's garage queen. He recently put a lot of effort and cash into it - Refinished Euro-spec Bolero wheels, resprayed the front and rear bumpers, new gauge cluster, new interior wood trim, among many other miscellaneous bits. Unfortunately, he has not put as much cash and effort toward the exterior. So, for the 4th of July, we decided to spend some quality time together knocking out this beast. A note to be fair: he has spent a lot of time in the auto body refinishing industry - bodyman, insurance adjuster, body shop manager, senior readjuster, so he has seen a lot of the wrong way to treat a garage queen and it has taken me a long time to fix his bad habits; today was a bit of a break-through since he spent a lot of time with the polisher and other toys.

He had already washed the car when I arrived, so we jumped right into the nitty gritty.

Exterior products used
Wheels/Tires: Megs DUB wheels cleaner/D103/permanon
Clay: ONR lube, Nanoskin autoscrub w/ GG6 + speedy prep towel
Hood: HD adapt + 5" LC green + GG6 (I had compounded and polished it over the winter so it only needed light work.)
Bumpers, pillars and lower door panels: HD adapt + 3" SM Arnold foam cutting pad + GG6
Compound: FG400 + 6" Megs MF cutting + Fupes 21
Polish: SF4500 + 5" LC gray + rotary
LSP: BFWD
Trim: Gtech C4
Exhuast: S100 polishing soap

There were also plenty of chips and RIDS that got touch-up paint, 1500 grit, 3000 grit, compound and polish

Interior (sorry no pics) was already very clean, but the leather was sticky from lexol conditioner.
Leather/Vinyl: OPC 8:1 via Tornador for seats. Steam for pedals, wheel, shifter and dash
Carpets: spot cleaned stains with citric acid and Folex, protected with 303 FG
Windows: Fast Glass towel + distilled water

This had some weird chips, like someone rolled a pad spur on the trunk. They ran from the glass to the back of the truck lid. This was after touch-up and correction. The near ones still catch light at the right angle, the ones toward the glass blend right in. Unfortunately, this had been repainted and I felt we were getting a little thin to continue at 180um thickness, whereas the factory paint was 120um +/-.
