Tonight I had the chance to try the Menzerna fg400 I bought recently.

I have a black 07 corvette that I bought used and it came with lots of swirls defects etc. I tried CG v line of polishes with a HF DA 34-36-38 on different pads, foam and MF.
While the v34 did ok after a lot of passes it wasn't tough enough for this clear (my opinion)

I tried the FG 400 tonight on the back end which I never used the CG on. I left it lone to try something else. It worked so much faster on the same pad. CG MF cutting pad. I worked in the garage just on the back but I'm very pleased with results so far.
I'll try to get some pics soon as this will be. Multiday process for me.

Long story short Menzerna fg400 is way better than V34 (my opinion)

You are in the exact same boat I am in. I bought the v series on sale and loved them till I tried fg400 now I exclusively use menzerna polishes.

I was almost purchased the whole cg v line, luckily I met someone who told me that they were not as great as they were made out to be. I recently acquired some fg400 and it is a pleasure to use.

As a long time Menzerna user, FG400 is a great compound. In some cases it can finish down LSP ready. You should also pick up some SF4000 for when the FG400 doesnt finish down and FS4500 for jeweling the paint. I have been able to get the FG400 to finish LSP ready using my Flex and the Lake Country Hydro tech foam pads. Take about 6 to 8 passes to get it broke down with my flex.

I recently bought the FG400 and 4000 for my White Silverado. As a newbie I don't have a lot to compare to,but I was very impressed. Easy to use and a great finish. The FG400 left me wondering if I really needed anything else before the BFWD.Unfortunately 2 weeks later after using my presoaked Montana round brush I noticed long scratches in my finish. Going to go back with the 4000 polish, hoping that will take care of problem. I was thrilled with both Menzerna products. People were asking if I got a new truck

If someone asked me; if I could only choose two products out of the Menzerna lineup which ones would they be?

Menzerna FG-400
Menzerna SF-4000

FG400 works great on really hard paint (like your Corvette). Pair it with Meg's or Rupes microfiber pads.

I really enjoy FG400 too.....but, on the Meguiar's DAMF, I have found that Meguiar's D300 outperforms FG400.

Seems to cut just as well , less dusting and finishes down even better.

It did not dust for me at all. Just polished until it was gone. The v34 and megs ult both dusted though

I absolutely ADORE the SF4500 on black paint. A breeze to use, and finishes up just beautifully. Pair it up with the Lake Crystal Black Pads and it's money. I would like to try FG400, but just can't justify it (got tons of M105 and D300 to use up first).

I've only used it on Meg's and Rupes microfiber pads, and Rupes blue foam pads. No dusting. Interesting. You may not have primed the pad enough?

Spot on!!!

First time I used it I got a little dusting too. Reduce the amount of product you use and you'll be surprised at the lack of dust and just how well it finishes down. Remember, DAT products take time to break down, don't rush through it and you will be amazed.

I will make sure I ALWAYS have FG400 in my cabinet, definitely my go to compound with foam pads.
