Has anyone ever redone their seats with this companies leather. It's a slip on instead of having the seat completely redone

Where I work we had it put in for a customer because leather was all that was important to them, so we put them in a base model with Katzkin. It looks and feels great, but since it isn't my car, I can't tell you anything about durability.

Here are some pics:

Katzkin is one of, if not *THE* premier name in aftermarket automobile leather. I've not seen their "slip on's", but have seen their complete OEM replacement covers. Many a respected hotrod builders use them too. ;)

I would agree. Many cars at SEMA had Katzkin leather seats. In most cases, they seem a step up in quality and feel compared to factory leather.

It does look great. I'm concerned about the shop installing them. I'm afraid of it not being tight around the seat. If it's a little loose it'll look like crap. Those pics look really nice

I put a full set of 100% leather Katzkin seats in my car September 2012.
They look terrific and the same as the day I put them in. They were professionally installed so not sure how much work that was but they did a real nice job.Just finished first cleaning with Connolly Leather Cleaner and Connolly Hide Care and I think they even look richer than when new.

How are they in cold and hot weather. I guess it doesn't really matter if your going for the look

I did a set of katzkin a while back. They are tailored for absolute perfect fit. There may be a few wrinkles at first but as soon as you get into some different weather changes they snug up flawless. They don't just slip over your seats on the set I did. The old cloth comes off and they were a replacement. I'm not sure about on newer cars that are more complicated but that's how the truck I did was. It was a 99 Dodge Dakota rt

One of my carpoolers put Katzkin on her 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Looks really good after nearly 2 years, no signs of wear.

I used them on my old Dodge Ram. Seat covers came out nice but I had an issue with one of my covers being made wrong. It was clear that the cover was twisted while sewing the pieces together and it just wasn't going to fit. When I called I was told it was impossible for the cover to be wrong because less than 1% have a defect rate ( I can't remember the exact % but it was extremely low). I was told I just didn't know how to install even though my upholster father was doing it with me. Once I jumped through hoops they finally replaced the defective cover with a good one.

That was my only real issue… I think my cover was made to fit several years and there was a slight difference in the seats which my father and I fixed. In the end I think the covers were great for the price and the leather they used was nice quality. It was cheaper for me to buy the covers pre-made than to buy the leather and have my father make for me. I got mine in a group purchase so it was a no brainer

I have seen Katskins on a Silverado, they looked great. The owner loved them. They felt like great quality and I plan on putting some in my truck next year. A local dealership in Palm Beach had several trucks in the showroom with them and they looked and smelled great.

I had these in my Jeep Rubicon and was initially happy with them however not even a year later they started cracking. Maybe they didn't like the cold? Who knows but I wasn't impressed.
