Folks, I need help in finding some concrete information about Mercedes Benz and their Ceramiclear paint system. It's been advised by a trusted pro that MB have now switched to Glasurit paint but I'd like to know starting from which manufacture year and/or model.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not heard that MB was stopping the use of Ceramiclear paints? In fact one of my customers ordered their 2014 MB with the Ceramiclear paint option upon my recommendation.

Thanks Mike! I've read your Ceramiclear article many moons ago and has been a cherished resource along with everything else you put out.

Like you I haven't heard of the change either and hence been looking for documented information about it. If I do find anything I will post it here.

Regards, Anthony

Hi sproketser, yes I have recently only joined AGO and another US based forum for the quality information and posts you guys put up. I'm more involved with our Australian forum, Detail Paradise, but I want to keep up with the times, not just our neck of the woods.

Thanks for noticing..I hope for positive reasons! :)
