waffle pads vs flat pads

is there really a difference in performance between these 2 style of pads or is it more of a personal preference thing? -Mike-

All I can say is, flat is safer. I like the way edge wave pads perform but I damage some paint with mine and I paid for it.... Never have tried LC waffle pads.

I perfer the flat pad, over the waffle pad. The waffle pads help displace heat better.
