Hey guys! Long time reader, first time poster.

My girlfriend recently purchased a white 2014 Honda Accord that is overall in great shape. Does not need any correction, just decontaminated and protected. I'm going to IronX the car (tons of iron spots!), clay it, and then do BFGEP followed up by BFWD.

My question is in regards to the BFGEP. What application speed is needed? I have a PC and will be using either a LC white or black pad for this step. I am just unsure if I work it slow like I would 105/205 or if it just needs spread like the BFWD. I would appreciate your input!

You want to work it about speed 4 - but use it ever so sparingly or it will be like cleaning dried cement off your paint. Less is more. Don't over work it and don't use too much. If you are having a hard time removing it - you'r using too much. Been there - done that.

My apologies, I said application speed when I meant arm speed. 105/205 I use a slow arm speed and BFWD I use a faster arm speed. Where in there should my arm speed be for the BFGEP?

A little faster than a polish - but too slow won't cause any harm if you are using good technique. Basically your not correcting the paint (although pad could have some cut) - your just cleaning it and applying a glaze.

Sounds good.

Would you recommend the white pad or the black? The paint may have some very minor scratches that I'd like to have the GEP help hide like it's supposed to, so I was undecided if I'd get more of that effect using white over black.

Black. Unless the paint is very dirty.

If you are going to IronX and clay, I personally would use a white pad. GEP has very little cut and the white pad will help clean up any micromarring that might occur from the clay. You will want to work it in until it almost disappears. Use very little as others mention, so it might only take 4 passes. If you already have the GEP, ok...if not, I would recommend TPnS instead. TPnS will lay down an initial layer of the BF polymers and requires no cure time before moving to BFWD.
