I'd just like to share with you all my light and humorous blog after dealing with a female customer and my antics of trying to get the message through by relating to make-up :o

Detailing explained as an analogy to make-up - Bon Vivant Automotive Care (http://bonvivantautocare.com.au/blogs/detailing-blog/14528401-detailing-explained-as-an-analogy-to-make-up)

Great thread my friend.

So, what she decided? Blush, red lipstick and red nail? !

Thanks for that,

Kind Regards.

That was funny, but pretty spot on!

Thanks Tato :)

She chose Opti-Coat in the end as it was less maintenance than a wax. It was seen as her car beauty splurge on a new purchase.

Nice. I've been using skin care as an analogy to detailing for years now. Most women, and some guys, get it. Whatever works.:)

This is great! My fiance is into makeup just as much as I am into detailing so we've had this conversation before.

PS: I like your website/blog!

thanks chaps, it really only occurred to me then, on the fly, explaining it to the customer. It's something I'll remember for the future as a useful tool.

And thank you b0b. I appreciate it :)

Thanks BillE. Yes, it couldn't gone south pretty quickly as something crude....but it wasn't the first thing I tried just because she was female. She was a good humomoured bubbly person to begin with so I thought a candid approach would be ok. :)

The article is not available anymore. What it was about? Seem like it was an interesting one. I'm keen on makeup and skincare products, and everything related to it seems interesting for me.
