Hey all!

So the story is my wife and I walked in to buy a 2014 Mustang convertible for her new DD. We settled on Ruby Red! Well; we saw a used (barely) 2014 in white and just fell in love with the color. Who knew white could look so good? But on the convertible it kind of has this "Cruisin' the beach" vibe.

So we looked at a couple new ones; got ready to buy but I decided "why not" and made a lowball offer on the used '14 they had and they came back with a still pretty-low offer. So we decided; an identical car to what we had configured, in the color we want, with just a few thousand miles for about $10 grand less? Well guess what we drove home.

Well, it WAS used which means I have some work cut out for me. Paint is hammered, black plastic on the back (tail lights, etc.) are swirled to high heaven. Even the plastic on the interior of the dash (stereo, etc.) are scratched. Oh; and I kid you not, we arrived shortly after they detailed that poor Mustang, and the detailer; about 55 or 60 years old walked out with this grungy black-stained terry towel rag and started SCRUBBING (dry!) a portion of the front bumper because he said he noticed he missed a spot. The salesman proudly said "Oh yeah that's our car wash guy. He's very meticulous and detailed". I about fainted.

ANYWAY; I was hoping some of you could motivate me by posting some pics of some white Mustangs done the way only y'all at Autogeek can! I kinda wanna see what it'll look like. I know white doesn't have the dramatic results some other colors do but it's surely gotta be better than it is now! But at least with white the swirls are very hard to see; but they are there! (And of course; with white it's less about seeing the swirls and more about how bright and shiny the paint will be once polished).

Not an 11-14, but this white 2010 that I used to own was very similar. It's been a while, but I believe I polished it with either Poorboy's Pro Polish or SSR1. I used their White Diamond glaze & Natty's White carnauba. So hard to get good show-off pics of white, but I think this shows a pretty decent shine.

Just start off by really decontaminating the car. Clay & iron X make dramatic results in any lighter colored car. The compound and polish until you're happy with the results. Looking forward to seeing pictures.

I do many white vehicles and they always turn out the same way as long as you can remove all of the contaminants from them.
