I have a toyota car, as said in other thread. I tried Ultimate coumpound with the best technique I know. It did remove swirls. But the scratches all there. And they show up really bad in Sun due to black colored car.

Do you think M105 would be able to remove the scratches?

Does your fingernail catch on the scratches?

No. I checked that before posting. These scratches ar enot from some sharp thing. These are more of some bad type of cloth being used to clean the car. I remember my office cleaner used to clean the car and I believe he used some bad cloths to clean the car. I tried clicking a photo but since its night, not getting the scratches in the camera. Wil post tomorrow.

Without seeing photos, you may have removed the swirl marks but now you are seeing RIDS, or random isolated deep scratches. It may not be worth trying to remove those.

You should really post some pics so people can give you better advice.

It may not be worth trying to remove those

Why so?

It may not be worth trying to remove those

Why so?

Because there is only so much (thickness of) paint on your car. Every time you polish, you remove paint. At some point you have to stop so you don't end up going down to the base.

Can you please post a photo of RIDS? So I could know if its really RIDS on my car? I know it would be a hassle but will be appreciated.

I do not have any photos of RIDS. You can search the AGO forums for images. You cannot post photos of your Toyota?

ITs night time here. All the camera catches is the Metallic paint.

Ultimate Compound is deigned for use by hand or DA.

You may want to get a DA to use UC, or grab M105 and M205 as they are designed for rotary use.

But remember, do a test spot with a less aggressive product such as M205 and checking your results before jumping right into the M105.

Yes, I got RIDS !

I am planning to seal the paint using Cquartz which I have already ordered. Does it have any filler properties?

Anyone? Also, people tend to run their fingers on a dirty car to show their creativity. Will Cquartz help in avoiding those scratches?
