When I clean my car I get all water spots over it as I live in a hard water area I was wondering if anyone could help me if I got a garden pressure sprayer and put water in their with Water softener salt would that work to soften the water and be safe to use on my paint work cheers

What i do is i wash 2 panels at a time and rinse. Doing this keeps the car wet till im ready to dry so water spots never form during the wash.

Ok thanks for the reply do you think that a water softener added to water will work and not damage the paint

First, :welcome:
Second, a softener does not remove the TDS (total dissolved solids) in the water, so if you have a heavy mineral water, doing your wash with dionized/deminerilized water would be your best option (buying gallons or using a system like CR Spotless
Third, As Brondonlon stated technique does help go a long way

Waterless wash with distilled or filtered water would solve your problem.
