I am looking for a fireman style hose sprayer I can use when I just don't feel like getting the pressure washer out or if its down for repair. I see the Nelson fireman style with the big handle on top seems to be popular. Who makes the best sprayer for the garden hose? Thanks for any replies!

The Adam's one looks like a beast but 60$ and I can't find anything that compares to it. Plus I am not even sure they still make the Adam's one.

they have the ones at wallmart in boththe garden and Auto section. not tried it as I cant see spending 20 bucks on one. I have the 7 dollar one that you put soap in also and it works retty good.

I have a cheap trigger type sprayer that works as good as I need it to. I think it would be crazy to spend $60 to buy a name brand fire hose. I have a shut off valve I put at the end of my hose so I can switch between pressure washer and trigger sprayer quickly without having to turn the water off which helps too.

I have the nelson with the red handle. One of the reasons it is so popular is it is under $10.00 at Sams.

I picked up a fire hose style nozzle at walmart for $5, can't account for durability but leak proof (along with the quick-disconnect fittings that I bought along with it) but the spray is alterable enough to meet my needs.

Carrand 90049 Fire Hose Nozzle: Home Security : Walmart.com (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Carrand-90049-Fire-Hose-Nozzle/16472461)

It was this exact model, but definitely not $25. $5.99 at the most.

Cheap, dependable and works great:

Amazon.com : Gilmour Full Size Zinc Pistol Grip Nozzle with Threaded Front 573TF : Watering Nozzles : Patio, Lawn & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00002N68C/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Combine with Gardena quick disconnects=win.

Yes I bought a couple of the Gilmour metal ones years and years ago after dealing with cheap plastic ones and these things have just held up, definitely no special treatment by me, leave out side three seasons connected to the hose I replaced the washer on them after about 5 years but that's no big deal.

I found this one that reminds me of the Adam's unit. Expensive but if it lasts me I may try it.

And there is this one...

I found an Adam's nozzle in stock and I am giving it a try. It's the same nozzle on the fireman site and they want 98$ for it! I paid half that basically.

This one also looks nice... reminds me of the bon aire only this one has metal internals unlike the plastic of the Bon Aire that is apparently made in China now and the quality is suffering.

go to your local k-mart, big lots or o'reilly's. they carry the firehose nozzles and are made either by carrand or detailer's choice (pic below)and can be had for under $8. come to think of it, target may have their branded version of it too...
