Am having windows tinted right now and these guys also do PPF. They have several brands of product. Expel seems highly rated. Any reason to use anything else, or any better product.

Also, I will be polishing bumpers prior to the film. Any other prep that should be done? I thought I had read on another thread that PPF can be applied over opti-coat. Should I coat the surface first. Input appreciated, thanks.

Xpel is the best.

Every car my buddy and I do we polish the vehicle then place the film over the paint. This maximizes the look and makes the clear bra look even less visible.

Xpel has changed the stance on coatings and it is recommended that you DO NOT put the bra over top of any coatings

Just polish, cover, then coat

I have Xpel Ultimate on my car, looks great and has held up well (granted it's only a year old). If I had to do it over again I'd do the entire hood to avoid the line entirely instead of the bikini cut.
