Car has been repainted, & the clear is very hard. Swirls kicked my butt (PC w/white & orange pads, & various compounds) for the last couple of years. A buddy came over last Saturday with his Rupes & MF pads & let me play. (I will have a Rupes SOON)! Anyway, I went over the whole car with the Rupes & Menz FG400, followed by one buddy with my PC & Menz SF4000, & another buddy followed with his PC & Menz SF4500. Not sure whether we saw a difference with the SF4500 after the SF4000, but we all 3 of us kept busy & enjoyed ourselves! And the owner is quite satisfied!

Edit: sorry, meant to put this in Show N' Shine!

Freakin' stunning on what you said was incredibally hard clear! Beautiful work and that would be my dream...letting me do the heavy correction and then have 2 people on my heals with finishing it out.

Absolutely gorgeous and thanks for letting us see it.

And same to you! I went on the Danger Ranger in San Diego for a tour when I graduated boot camp in Jan of 88. I think DS's were merged into FC if I remember right. It's a lot different these days. My son is a Supply Corps officer on FFG 58. He decoms it next May.

Wow what a trip, I was onboard when you toured lol...The Ranger decommed in Jul 93, I reenlisted for instructor duty but after a few months at CSTSC (Vallejo), you may be familiar with since FCs went to school there, Clinton administration decided to close the base and move the entire command to Dam Neck, VA...got a chance to early out so I did! Way too many changes were going on at that time. My name James, I see you joined a while back but haven't really posted???

I'm Mike. Yeah, I'm a long time Autogeek customer, & I've been lurking around here for a while, reading a lot, but not really posting. I've been detailing cars since I was a kid, & do it now semi-professionally. (I work for the VA fulltime) I have a black 09 GT500, & I usually post on TheMustangSource & SVTPerformance detailing forums.

Very cool! My detailing obsession kicked in when I got my GT about 4 yrs ago - swore I would never get another black car but it was too good of a deal to pass up! I'm on S197forum but at this point in life, its not about going fast anymore...I just applied CQuartz UK to my GT - wow!
