Detailing a Tahoe -- need help!

I'm detailing a Tahoe next Saturday. It's metallic green, 4 wheel drive and it has four doors. I went and looked at it today and it's in pretty decent shape. My buddy bought it for $3,500 from a co-worker, he bought it brand new.

I have quoted the guy $100 to detail it since it was in decent shape, although it has a few scratches that might require a bit more elbow grease.

Since I don't want to go over the entire truck twice (it's large and I'm only charging $100), what do you guys recommend as a combo? I have the following products:

1) PC (of course!)
2) LC orange, white, gray and blue pads
3) SSR2.5, SSR1 and PO85RD

I would like to wash, clay and then give it one pass before waxing it.

I take it you don't have any AIO's like XMT 360 ?
Are you planning on doing the interior also, or just the exterior.

I haven't used the SSR1, you can try that with a org pad and see what it looks like

I would do SSR2.5/orange on bad spot, then SSR1/white on the whole truck

If you are doing paint correction on such a large vehicle and only charging $100 I think I would use HighEndDetails sugguestion and use an AIO type polish/paint sealant product like XMT 360 on it.

Question: does XMT180 have enough "punch" to go up against hard GM CC? Just wondering as I've never used nor have 180

Thanks for the feedback gents! I'm doing the interior, but only a quick vac since he's ripping out the leather seats and replacing them.

Sounds like I'll be using SSR1 on the white pad like people suggested for the whole truck and then SSR2.5 with the orange pads on the rest of the truck.

In cases like these, I wish I have XMT 360!!!

We do a lot of older 4x4 tahoes and expeditions here in NY. I used Meg's Duel Action Cleaner / Polish at about 1300rpm's w/ a wool pad. gets the paint to pop again, removes surface scratches, and doesn't leave any swirls. Great product

If the SSR1 isn't strong enough, you could use SSR2.5 with a polishing pad and still get LSP ready. Just lighten up your pressure and speed up the movement (speed 6 still) before you are finished polishing... that should do the trick

P1et if you're going to polish/wax, basically do a full exterior detail, my price would be $90, w/o polish, if you are going to polish you need to add $30-$40 on top of that. Don't be afraid to price high, your work is worth the money, and once they see your work the cust will know they are paying good money for great work!! send me your email address and i'll shoot you a copy of my brochure that lists all my details and prices, maybe that will give you a good place to start.... and since you live in Austin, you can charge a little more than me, $5-$10 more.

If it was me I would go with XMT 360, with a cutting pad on setting 5-6, then top with #951. 360 is an awesome AIO that correct paint. Are you talking about today or next Saturday? If its next Saturday go ahead and order some. I'm telling you the stuff is awesome...It's a 5 star product IMO....
