So finally got these off my camera and uploaded!

New 2015 Tahoe LTZ White Diamond Tricoat with summer Chevy OEM chrome sneakers, OEM chrome tip, and OEM chrome toe hooks.

I had the dealer detail it when I picked it up. I know a lot of you didn't think I should but my wife wanted it done when she picked it up. I spoke with the detail crew. They do the BMW's also for this dealership. They clay and wax all new cars. They hand wash with mitts (which looked very clean) and dried different surfaces with various towels. Again they deff seemed to have their crap together.

Anyway, got it home. Looked pretty good. Some leftover wax here and there and a few misses clay spots but all in all under diff lights and streetlights at night from every angle there wasn't anything really visibly bad.

Next day I washed with my usual suds. I use Microfiber mitts. I dry with Micro Guzzlers with Pinnacle detail spray as an aide. I them clayed the whole car (blackfire). I also then polished the truck (Pinnacle lotion). I was done at that point. Checked the car all stripped under street lights and my garage lights. No swirls I could tell. No marring so I guess they didn't mess up the paint.

Next day I sealed with Wolfgang paint sealant 3.0. Went on and off so nice! 12 hrs later I put a coat of Fuzion on. Again so nice and easy. Finished with a layer of Wolgang spray paint sealer onto of the Fuzion. Truck again sat for 12 hours.

Chrome rims were clayed here and there, but they came from the factory in a truck cause i took the truck with the standard 20's so the summer 22's were perfect. I waxed them with Detailor's Pro Rim Wax.

Tired were with Pinnacle Tire Gel. Love their tire gel.

Interior was perfect. Threw about 8 towels down and my old weather tech up front till the new ones come out!

Ordered a new Metro Vac N Blo cause my other one is now 15 years old and it was just time for a new one.

And that's my story. Here are some pics. Questions/comments? :)

Jimi

PS Oh ya all done by hand. No machine. Deff not there yet with being comfortable with trying a machine.

Awesome Tahoe! I bet that hurt the wallet. Chevy did a great job with the new Tahoe and Suburban. I didn't like the new front at fist but it has grown on me and I like it a lot now. I have seen a few white ones, not 1 black one yet.

Ya did my 2011 LTZ also always by hand. LOL Never thought diff about it. lol It took me 3 hrs the first day. And prob 2-3 hrs the next day minus all the waiting times.

For weekly wash details it takes me 1.5 hrs if the paint cooperates. If I got to touch up with clay and polish wax bit here and there. 2 hrs tops.

For a full clean up cause of winter havoc it can be 6 to 7 hrs of work. Due to clay and polish. takes me forever to get all that crap off!

I prop should learn to use a machine. I don't even know where to start or what to even look at. I guess I can use my 09 Murano as a test truck since it's paid for and i just maintain it as best as possible at this point due to it being 6 years old now. Deff doesn't look it though.

there are 2 blacks roaming around here. They are pretty nice. the flat white is just boa with that new front end. i was personally not even going to look at it from the pics i saw. i was going straight to gmc to a denali cause the pics of the denali front end was awesome in pics. i saw one a few weeks ago and just didn't like it. got kinda nervous cause we actually use our tahoe for taking my parents with us on trips and we have 2 car seats so we need pass through to get my parents in the back (they don't mind) and need the room. went and looked at the tahoe and was very surprised how much better in person it looked. the LTZ is much much nicer than the LT cause of all the chrome, but the chrome hooks deff helped break up that front end. much better now. i have seen multiple gmc's on thread now and really glad i stayed true to chevy. the chevy OEM rims are much nicer choices too i think. i know u can use em on either truck so that's not a valid point but still worth mentioning. the denali has the headsup display which i kinda wish i had but the center cluster has all the nag and audio and phone control and view from it now and i actually use it all the time. i don't need to touch the radio or look at it anymore! deff nice. i think i would have liked the heads up though. cost wise cause my 2011 only had 30000 on it i got a lot of extra money for it and they also discounted the truck to dealer cost and got me in the exact same payment as the 2011 even though this one was 6-7 grand more cause the new truck is just more money now. they also hooked me up with a crazy low interest rate. not as low as i had but very very close so i pretty much lost 3 years of payment and went back to 5 years but stayed at the same payments and have a much nicer and feature rich truck. the interior sells itself now vs before. chevy finally got out of 1990 and moved into i would say 2009. lol not 2015 yet for sure vs some other companies out there but they are getting better!

I saw a 2011 Camaro today at work. The paint job was horrible.......nothing but orange peel. I can't believe people think paint looks good on a new vehicle. My 2002 Camry that I painted in my garage looked better than the Camaro.

I did a full color correction on my managers F-250 diesel.....and let me tell you..it was a monster !! I was able to remove about every swirl and defect with Menzerna fg400 and some M205. Some of the scratches were just do deep.

After I finished....he was amazed. Now his kid wants me to polish his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500.

The truck looks awesome, and when it rained here in Houston last week, he sat at the window and just watched the water roll off every panel on that truck.

Thanks! Deff tiring. Last night I started looking at dual action polishers but they kinda scare me.

The DA polishers are MUCH safer than rotaries. I was the same way as you, did everything by hand until about a year ago. They're not QUITE idiot-proof, but close enough if you're careful around edges.

Thanks man. Only reason we bought a new one so soon. We usually drive trucks into the ground.
