What is the best way to restore a heavily oxidized aluminum bumper (and rims) on a semi truck? Will Ultimate Compound do much?

Cotton buffs and various compounds.

You don't need a compound use a metal polish first and then maybe a compound. Here is a job I did a while back an all aluminum plane that was very heavily oxidized. We used Purple Metal polish on this plane.

I'm about to use Wenol for minor polishing, have heard good things about English custom metal polishes though haven't used'em and not sold at AG.
