Its still the biggest and heaviest of the pony cars. Power is great and these cars are already full of it. I would wide-body the rear, lower the car at least an inch, and try to reduce some weight. Sweet rides.

I hear that SRT is being reswallowed back into Dodge, is that true ??

Has there been an officially published HP and torque figure? I've heard everything from 604-660hp with 385-412lbs

The power these companies are putting out right from factory is unreal. However weighing in at probably 4200-4400 lbs that thing is a pig!

This would be a great car...if it was 1971.

Its a great car period. Put a pair of street slicks on it and you will be looking at his tail lights. They are making a 1/4 mile monster, not a cornering car. I like it a lot

I would argue that the advances in braking and handling since the mid/late 1960's are far more impressive than the engine power. Aerodynamics too (for top speed).

They were getting 500+ naturally aspirated HP and torque back in the 60's but they de-rated the published numbers down into the 300-400 range for insurance purposes.

Its s very heavy car...no getting around that so the HP rating is a bit misleading in terms of bottom line performance.

Yes, they would give the power ratings at 2900 rpm or something when the car could do 5000 rpm.

Correct me if I'm wrong... I know nothing about these cars and I am too lazy to look... But does this thing still use a single block mounted cam with push rods?

This will be a big heavy, a standard c6 or c7 on drag radial will beat this car to submission. actually you dont need the tires.

(Although it used a 1970 Challenger in the lead-role):
"Vanishing Point" (ca. 1971) being revisited...
With a vengeance!!

And yet:
Another Challenger-ing highway bruiser.
