Hey everyone, I'm not a pro by any means, just a guy who likes to spend time on his car. This was my first attempt at a real exterior detail on a vehicle. My Fusion is just a few weeks old. I don't have any machines (yet) so everything was done by hand.

- Wash with Chemical Guys Mr. Pink
- Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and Lube
- Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
- Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant

The wheels got the same treatment, planning on aquapel for the glass and Wolfgang trim sealant when those arrive on Monday.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure where the name came from, but my son named her Genevieve.

Thanks, I'm really impressed with the Blackfire products. I'll be using their interior cleaner and protectant on the inside as well.

Now if I can just convince the wife that we need a foam lance to make washing that much more fun!

Very nice! I have the same car, same color, but different rims. That color is great! It's hard to see imperfections on it. Be very careful on the black plastic, on the B-pillars, they scratch very easy.

Yeah I've noticed. :( Any ideas on how to remove swirls from these?

CG has a vid on youtube compounding and polishing the pillars on a Taurus SHO(same material). They are very finicky, use too much pressure or a towel with the tiniest speck and you will put scratches back in them.

Fantastic job! From what I can tell, the paint looks to be swirl free. Use proper washing technique and you'll keep the swirls to a minimum.
