OK Geeks.. :)

Serious question for you all:

What have you found to combat shoe odor?

I'm open to any and all suggestions, even using Stripper Scent as needed. :)

Are you talking about your personal shoes smelling or a car smelling like shoes? You could use stripper scent but the odor will come back in a matter of min. Possibly leaving you with the present odor of vanilla flavored trench foot lol

What type of shoes? If it's your "work" shoes like tennis shoes or canvas sneakers, baking soda always helped with some of the smell for me. I also have hand washed my shoes to success. You might see if the soles are replaceable too, since that's usually where a majority of the smell is coming from.

Dress shoes? Get cedar shoe trees. I've had a pair I've been wearing for 6 months now every day and they still smell and look new.

Don't tell my co-workers... but I take off my shoes when I am sitting at my desk at work.

Here is what i do. Walmart has a pair of cheap tennis shoes for like $10. I buy a pair of them and when they start to either get torn up or smell i buy a new pair. Surprisingly they are actually comfortable.

nice. Ill look into the cedar option for my dress shoes.

My sneakers were the culprit today (white adidas Beckhams) that I wear to work on occasion.

I do take them off at my desk (shh), but when I get home its rough...

Interesting. I've had success with the Target version displayed next to OE. Perhaps in this instance the copy is better than the original. Though I suppose it varies from foot to foot.

There is no shoe odor that can't be cured by dryer sheets. A new sheet may be too strong, so a sheet out of the dryer kills foot odors very effectively.

Happy Detailing, everyone!
