So I am wondering how you guys polish up your bikes. I have used a machine once turned into a mess with 6 inch pads. Since I have gotten here I have seen the 3 inch pads.

Do you use a machine or do you do it by hand?

I've polished a few motorcycles with the four inch pads and backing plate on the PC. Some areas require hand polishing though. It's definitely more fun to work by machine when possible.

I will be working a fatboy and a Ultra Classic. The fenders, bags, and fairing and tour pack I think I should be able to use a DA, and tanks by hand.

Did you have much sling with the 4" pads?

I like using a PC with 3 inch hydro-techs or 4 inch hex-logics. Both have worked great.

Throw on a small pad and get after it!

Worked well on my R1.

That looks good. I did try a 6" pad n a fender to remove a RIDS and spent twice as long cleaning the sling off. That was before I knew of smaller pads.
