I have been working on a game plan for my much anticipated car detail. Thanks to all those that helped out with my product order(http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/80806-can-product-list-budget-beat.html). With my products waiting, below is what I have set up. Any input or suggestion welcomed.
Car background: 2011 Ford Taurus, was a prior rental bought 8/12. Interior is clean, just probably dusty. The exterior is swirled and needs love. It has been under cover outside for a year in Maryland. It has been driven once every month and half to two months.
Product usage:
*for 32oz spray bottle
No Rinse
Clay lube: *1/2oz
Quick Detailer: *2oz
Hyper Dress
Engine/Under Carriage/Tire/Trim: *16oz
Interior: *8oz
APC
Interior: *3oz
Spot Treat: *8oz
Wheels/motor/ext trim/tires: *16oz
Foam Cannon Soap
Iron-x Snow Soap - 1/3 of canister
CG Honeydew – 2oz
Procedure:
-Poorboy's will be used depending on how I like the look
Exterior:
Pull and Clean wheels/tire w/TRIX,APC
Foam w/Iron-X Snow Foam
Clay (paint and wheels)
Wash w/Honeydew Snow Foam
Compound M105 (orange pad)
Polish M205 (white pad)
-Also lenses
Poorboys Black Hole (gray pad)
-test to see results
Seal w/ M21 inc. wheels (gray pad)
Apply Lens protectent w/ Megs HL Prot.
ONR QD wipe down
Top with #26 wax (gray pad)
Interior:
Blow out interior
Spray APC scrub carpets/seats
Vacuum
clean vinyl w/APC
Dress vinyl/leather
QD jambs and dress rubber
