How do you clean the thin purple foam wool pads on the fly? Do you use a buffing spur or a pads conditioning brush and once you're all done do you something like snappy clean or apc to clean them up?

I use the cheap cotton towels that you buy in a bundle for cheap for cleaning all pads. Never use a brush, just too harsh in my opinion.

I use a pad conditioning brush with the machine turned off, not on. Just brush the fibers loose and free.

If you have compressed air this works even better.

For washing, hand wash and rinse then lay someplace upside down to dry.

I am a heavy user of wool pads, especially the black Tuf Buff wool pads. For me, the best way to clean them, and I do after every pass, is to use compressed air. I have an end on it with this venturi thing which really shoots out a huge volume of air. I have the regulator set at 60 psi.

I don't have compress air. It seem like the fiber get clump up together in the center of the pad so I use a soft bristle tooth brush to brush it out some clump up area was hard to brush out so now I know I can use a conditioning brush and I'll give that a try.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
