I am looking for software to specifically blur out the licence plates in my photos. I want it to be free and quick and easy to use. I had been using GIMP but then they went and updated it and now it's 10X's harder to use! It changes the file format and I hate using it now. Paint will work, but it's a PITA b/c the eraser function is so small that it takes a long, long time to do it, even when the largest box is chosen.

Please recommend software that is quick to erase or blur plates that easy to use and free.

thanks!

Can you revert back to the older version of GIMP?

Photoshop CS2 is available for free. May be a good option if you've never checked into Photoshop.

I tried to do this and at the end it asks you for a serial #. I had to uninstall it.

I don't think so.

OK, I found one I like: Pixbuilder Studio 2.2. It's simple and fast like GIMP used to be. Highly recommend it for fast blurring of plates.

The serial # is listed under "Publisher's Description" :xyxthumbs:

Paint.net would be exactly what you're looking for. Google paint.net - it's the name of the program.

In paint use the box making tool and just cut it out.
