Rupes Duetto vs. Jacked Up Corolla

I finally got to try out the Duetto system I bought during the Easter sale. The first guinea pig was my sister's 1999 Toyota Corolla. Here it is after a foam cannon washing. Any shine you see is because the car is still wet:

Here's a close-up of the paint on the roof. Mind you, this is after washing. Again, any shine you see is from water, as I did not dry the car when I took this photo:

I didn't finish the car; I only washed it, gave it a claying, and used the Duetto with the coarse pad and Zephir polish. But here are a couple of shots showing the completely dull "before" and nice reflective "after"

Sorry folks, that's all the pics I have...there is no ending beauty shots because the car is nowhere near finished. Suffice it to say the car is at least no longer completely embarrassing to now only mildly embarrassing. LOL.

Impressive results for this trashed toyota in only 1 compounding step.

I plentifully agree the car is now only half way embarrassing, but please, finish it down and share!

Also, based on prior condition of vehicle, and since you only compounded it with a coarse pad and polish, are you willing to make a second polishing step to maximize your results?

I recommend you to take a swirl finder light in order to inspect your results and finally decide if you'll need a polishing or finishing (or both) approach in order to get the most from your results.

After all, I'd recommend you to consider a coating over this finish, since a turnaround like this deserves to be protected for long, long time.

If I only had the time. Our schedules are very conflicting. Just about the only reason I was even able to touch her car was because the Memorial Day holiday. I have no idea when I will be able to do any more work on it. What I probably should do is do a full correction on just one panel at a time. But I just wanted to get the whole car looking at least shiny.

There is a lot of missing paint on her car; not sure I want to get into touching it all up.
