Was a bit rushed to start on this one, so no starting overall pictures, but here are some shots after initial compounding on the front clip basically. Will be working on this one most of the week, and Opti-Coat 2.0 hopefully by Thursday or Friday to allow it to sit overnight for the weekend.

I am using the Rupes 15 with Menzerna products. I love Menz products and on this paint, it is really making a beautiful result.

Before of the right front. Some light scratching.

Reflection after final polishing. Actually followed the FG400 with SF4000, then went over it again with a Rupes white pad and SF4500. Could not help, just wanted to see what it would do.

What pads did you use for the FG400 and SF4000?

HUMP DIESEL

Uber and then Rupes. I know that AG does not sell Uber so I hesitate to say, but I have them and that is what I used. Yellow cutting pad with the FG400 still finishes down so well, that you could literally go to LSP, but this is my best friends vehicle, so I am going even further, I would say that the third light Rupes white pad and SF4500 is a bit overkill, but I want to make sure that the finish is as slick as it can be when we apply the Opti-Coat. He does not have a lot of time to maintain the vehicles he has like he wants, so getting ulitmate protection is key.

Smack, I know you love the Menz products and I too over the years have come up with almost the exact technique that you use.

I have enjoyed Menzerna from the first time I used it and that was back in 2000.

Here are some more pics from last night. Made my way around the vehicle the first couple of nights with FG400, working the swirls and small scratches, going back over areas that I felt necessary. Last night, polished the lower half and hood with SF4000, then went back over with white Rupes Pad and SF4500.

Outside after tape removed. The sun kept peeking thru, but not when I pulled her out.

Got it finally coated last night, thanks FedEx home delivery for not being able to find my buddies house...That is a whole different thread. Anyway, once we got into the shop last night, I took the lights and walked around the vehicle one last time to see if there were any areas where I may have missed a mark or small scratch that could be repaired. Found a couple of areas, so I fixed those. We then foamed the whole vehicle with P21 TAW and 2B method the whole vehicle. He had to leave, so I finished up the drying and CarPro Eraser wipe down.

This is a spot where I went back and got some minor imperfections out.

I then pulled the vehicle back into the shop, did my final wipe down and by this time the owner was back and we applied the Opti Coat 2.0. I really like the application, we had a day yesterday in the low 90's, so flashing was not a problem, and the vehicle looked like wet lipstick. Final touches to finish it out will happen this evening.
