Greetings All,

On a scale of 1 to 10 - 10 being excellent - Just how well does the Mothers PowerBall Mini work on Rims (Clear Coated) and other "As Advertised" parts of a car?

Thanks,

Ray

I give it a 10. Makes cleaning up wheels much easier.

Here's my review of using the Mothers pro compound and polish using the powerball mini and powercone.

How do you keep your drill from getting wet?

Wheels were dry when doing this.

The powerball were out of stock when I was looking so I purchased Mother's Powercone last year. It worked excellent on removing the swirls from my clearcoated rims (long hours of course)

I have the meguiars cone and I think it works great, something to consider.

Would the power balls works on aluminum? My dads bike if polished aluminum and chrome. The aluminum takes tons of elbow grease to get shining... Would the ball or cone work at shining up the aluminum?

All of the powerballs and cones are must have, especially for wheel detailing. Can be used with a variety of polishes/compounds.

I just recently cleaned my wheels via Powerball and cone using M205, and then Poorboys White Diamond Glaze with great results. Used that stuff just because I had it on hand. Used Pinnacle Spray Sealant aftewards with great success.
Seems to work better than the wheel glazes as far as keeping wheels cleaner, longer. Sorry drifted off topic there a bit.

Hi Anthony,

Power Balls will work on coated and non-coated wheels alike. You might find you have to clean it more often but that's part of the process...:props:

Okay thanks man. Can I use it with say flitz or simichrome? Hell even mother's mag and aluminum polish?

Yes you can! Just use some all purpose cleaner to wash it then rinse thoroughly...

Just pick a polish that's appropriate for the finish of the rim, and you'll be fine.

BTW, high speed is not needed - 150-300 rpm is more than enough.
